FAQ

Here are a few questions I’m often asked about sessions, the process, and what it’s like to work together.

If you’d like to talk things through personally, I’d be happy to connect.

We’re awkward in front of the camera — is that a problem?

Most families I photograph tell me this beforehand.

My sessions are lightly guided and built around interaction rather than constant posing, which helps people settle into the experience naturally over time.

Children don’t need to perform, and adults don’t need to know what to do with the camera. My role is to guide when needed, create ease, and help you focus on each other rather than on “looking good” every second.

Wll you help us choose the location?

Yes. I’ll help you choose a location that suits your family, the season, and how you’d like the session to feel.

I work with a range of carefully selected locations in and around Geneva, as well as nearby natural settings that photograph beautifully throughout the year.

01

Are we the right fit?

My work is rooted in storytelling, connection, and a collaborative approach. Sessions are relaxed and lightly guided rather than heavily posed, leaving room for real moments to unfold naturally.

If you value connection over perfection and want photographs that feel honest, emotional, and true to your family, this way of working tends to be a good fit.

03

What should we wear?

You don’t need to dress a certain way — comfort, connection, and feeling like yourselves matter most. Clothing does influence the overall feeling of the images, so I share thoughtful guidance in the Preparation Guide and am always happy to help with specifics if needed.

Mothers also have access to my client wardrobe should they wish to explore that option.

06

How far in advance should I book?

For weekday sessions, booking around one month in advance is usually sufficient. Weekend availability is more limited and often books two to three months ahead.

For maternity and newborn sessions, I recommend getting in touch a little earlier, as these sessions are often tied to more specific timing around pregnancy and birth.

08

Do you travel for sessions?

Travel within 25 km of Geneva is included. For sessions further afield, I’m always happy to discuss possibilities in advance.

05

What time do sessions usually take place?

Outdoor sessions are usually scheduled in the late afternoon or early evening, when the light feels softer and more natural.

In-home sessions typically take place mid-morning, depending on the light in your space and your family’s rhythm.

07

What if the weather is bad?

Cloudy weather often creates beautiful, soft light and photographs wonderfully.

If conditions are uncomfortable or unsafe — such as heavy rain or strong wind — we’ll simply reschedule to the nearest suitable date.

How long does it take to receive the photos?

Your selection gallery will be ready within up to four weeks.

I edit each gallery carefully and consistently in Lightroom, with a natural approach that stays true to how the session felt. I don’t alter features or heavily retouch appearances, though small temporary details such as scratches or blemishes can be gently softened if needed.

09

How many images will we recieve?

I typically deliver a carefully curated gallery of around 80–100 edited images, allowing space for both the big moments and the quieter in-between ones that help tell the full story of your session.

  • Standard Collection — includes 30 digital images of your choice

Do you photograph events?

Yes — alongside family sessions, I also photograph intimate family celebrations and milestone events such as baptisms, birthdays, and bar or bat mitzvahs.

My approach remains the same: relaxed, observational, and focused on documenting the atmosphere, connection, and meaningful moments as they naturally unfold.
